Nader Fahimi, MD

Nader Fahimi, M.D. is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and he has a Certification of Added Qualifications in picture here Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Fahimi is a member of American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and New Jersey Orthopaedic Society.

Nader Fahimi, M.D. specializes in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Treatment of sport related injuries of the Shoulder, Hip, Knee and Ankle. He has an extensive experience in Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery, including new Arthroscopic Reconstruction of Large Rotator Cuff Tears, Arthroscopic Repair of Biceps and Labrum Tears and Arthroscopic Treatment of Shoulder Arthritis. Dr. Fahimi also specializes in Comprehensive Shoulder Surgery, including Shoulder Hemiarthroplasty (partial shoulder replacement), Total Shoulder Replacement, Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty, and treatment of complicated proximal humerus and humeral head fractures. Additionally, Dr. Fahimi specializes in minimally invasive Joint Replacement Surgeries.

Dr. Nader Fahimi received his master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University and his medical degree from Georgetown School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Then, Dr. Fahimi attended the Seton Hall University and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for orthopedic internship and residency.

After graduating from his orthopedic residency, Dr. Nader Fahimi completed his Fellowship in Spots Medicine Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Southern California Orthopedic Institute. There he received specialized training in arthroscopic treatment of complex shoulder, knee and ankle problems and sports injuries under supervision of world renowned surgeons, like Richard Ferkel, M.D., Marc Friedman, M.D., Stephen Snyder, M.D., Carlos Guanche, M.D., Ronald Kerzel, M.D. and Mark Getelman, M.D.

Dr. Fahimi was always fascinated by work and medical publications of world renowned Dr. Marc Phillipon, the pioneer and inventor of complicated techniques in Arthroscopic Treatment of Hip problems related to sport injuries and arthritis. Dr. Fahimi met with Dr. Phillipon, who agreed to become his teacher and mentor. Subsequently, Dr. Fahimi completed his Fellowship in Hip Arthroscopy at the University Of Pittsburg School Of Medicine under guidance of Dr. Phillipon.

Dr. Fahimi has devoted his career to his patients by constantly striving to learn more innovative and less invasive procedures, with smaller incisions, less pain, and shorter down-time. He also loves to pass on his knowledge and teach orthopedic residents at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

Moreover, Dr. Fahimi is an Associate Master Instructor of Arthroscopy and he actively teaches practicing physicians via cadaver courses at the prestigious Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago.
